Job Description:
We are looking for a locomotive Transportation Superintendent with heavy railway or commuter railroad experience.
Candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient and reliable operation of the commuter rail service. Will be responsible for the day to day operations and performance of the crews, the conductors, engineers.
Be responsible for the overall supervision of all on-board crew members. This includes job instruction, training, evaluation and discipline;
Act as the Company's designated Railroad Testing Officer pursuant to the conditions set forth in 49 CFR 217.9;
Periodically ride regularly scheduled trains to determine employees' compliance with rules and special instructions and to look for areas which may benefit from increased attention;
Work in conjunction with the Railroad Foreman of Engines (RFE), to perform regular operational tests as required by 49 CFR 217.9;
Coordinate efficiency testing;
Maintain the Company's program of operational tests and inspections as well as records of tests performed.
Qualifications:
hold a college or technical degree;
possess 10 years of experience (5 years in passenger) directing T&E supervision & employees in the safe, efficient, movement of trains and customers;
supervisory or management experience is important;
knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is useful;
English communication skills are excellent.

3. Supervisory or management experience in the passenger rail industry.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
