Commercial concrete subcontractor looking for a Purchasing Agent. The candidate must
have at least 2 years experience in the concrete construction industry as a purchasing
agent or must have a background with a material supplier such as HD Supply or
Construction Materials. They would like the candidate to have knowledge of all the
materials that will be purchased. They must also have great organizational skills, great
negotiating skills and be computer literate.
The candidate's daily job activities will be to issue the purchase orders and order the
materials needed for construction jobsites. Issue purchase orders for rental equipment
and also call off rental equipment. Issue and maintain subcontract agreements with
subcontractors. Work with the estimators and project managers for materials needed.
They will also buy vehicles and equipment as needed by the company. They will also be
setting up travel arrangements for crews such as hotels, apartments, etc. Being bilingual
is a definite plus since most of our employees in the field speak Spanish. This person
will need to perform monthly purchase order audits to make sure that the purchase
orders are being closed after they are invoiced.
