We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial Operations Manager/Controller to spearhead and nurture comprehensive accounting and operations procedures for a private Engineering company in Austin, TX.
We represent a growing private Engineering firm whose beloved Controller will be retiring. The organization has grown steadily over their 20
years in business and is looking for a confident financial professional/operations manager who loves to take on special projects. This role requires flexibility, self-discipline and the ability to research, develop and take ownership of strategic decision-making.
This is a growth role for an ambitious, experienced accounting professional that will excel at their primary responsibilities as well as flourish with special projects that help the company expand profitably.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Manage Financial Systems of a small business-payroll, monthly invoicing, P&L tabulation, etc.
Execute and improve accounting procedures for the company
Provide reports for management team
Prepare data needed for audits, annual accounts and tax returns (handled through an outside vendor)
Special projects as assigned
Handles HR issues/related matter for the firm
Own on-boarding processes for new hires including benefits enrollment
Skills and Requirements:
Previous experience Payroll/Invoicing Accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 4 year's experience
Computer Skills; Microsoft Office, TimeKeeper, FileMaker, CheckMark, etc.
