About General Motors Mainframe IT Operations:
The mainframe operations group is responsible for support of all mainframe applications within GM. The team strives for 100% availability through monitoring and continuous improvement activities, as well as supporting IT initiatives and compliance.
About the role:
The IT operations support team is responsible for a large number of applications, supporting the global GM environment. There are many initiatives within IT operations that allow the team to work with the global GM IT community.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Excellent level of analytical ability and communication skills
At least 10 years experience in mainframe related IT
Proven mainframe problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Preferred
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
At least 10 years experience in mainframe related IT
Experience with critical automotive mainframe applications
Skilled with mainframe programming languages
Willingness to work on call schedule for application support
