Summary:
Responsibilities:
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Assists in maintaining regulatory compliance including monthly floor inspection checks.
Maintains records to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Maintains quality assurance documentation.
Participates in High Reliability Organization (HRO) activities in the department and the facility.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for department.
Maintains appropriate stock levels in assigned area.
Informs appropriate staff of changes in usage patterns for inventory management.
Posts charges for controlled substances, floor stock and medications used during surgery and for any medication that is not charged via an automated system at the time of use.
Meets and maintains Ladder requirements for Pharmacy Technician I.
Performs other duties as assigned.
May be required to be on-call.
Education &
Experience:
HS or Equivalent, Six months of hospital experience is preferred.
Licenses & Certifications:
Current registration as a Pharmacy Tech or Pharmacist Intern with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) is required or must be obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.
PROOF OF RPT must be on the application - Please document and label your registry as RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - CPT or CPHT is not the same Completion of a certified pharmacy technician program recognized by the State Board of Pharmacy is preferred.
IV Admixture Certification preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
