Summary:
Responsibilities:
Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications and treatment based on patient outcomes Monitors, records and communicates patient condition Participates in the continued development of the team and accomplishment of departmental and network goals Performs the essential functions of the RCP III when not acting as designated Transport or on-call Transport Therapist Performs other duties as assigned May be required to be on-call Education &
Experience:
High school diploma or the equivalent is required Minimum five (5) years experience in Respiratory Therapy is required, with two (2) years of that experience related to specialty areas, such as pediatric or neonatal intensive care, emergency department, or transport team Licenses & Certifications:
Must obtain ACLS, PALS and NRP within one (1) year of hire APLS certification is preferred Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state of Texas is required or must be obtained by hire or transfer date Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care is required or must be obtained by hire or transfer date It is further the policy of the Seton Healthcare Family to encourage vendors, contractors, affiliate institutions and others doing business with the Seton Healthcare Family to observe the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
