Job description Austin Achieve is a tuition-free public charter school in Austin, Texas.
At Austin Achieve, our mission is to prepare the youth of East Austin to attend and excel at the nation's top colleges and universities.
We are currently hiring teachers for grades 6-8 for the 2014-2015 school year.
While there are many charter schools out there, what sets Austin Achieve apart is our commitment to teachers as leaders.
We encourage and empower our teachers to take ownership of the vision, curriculum, and culture of their classroom and of our founding campus.
Our teachers design college visits, lead overnight camping trips, and develop extra-curricular activities.
One TFA alum started a program called CHEFS (Creating Holistic Environments For Sustainability).
CHEFS students tend to our campus beehives and get excited about food sustainability.
