About the role:
The EDW Quality Assurance :
Performance Optimization role is a technical position with responsibility for collecting and reviewing performance metrics of the EDW ETL batch, and tuning/optimizing the ETL jobs and reports for maximum performance.
Responsible for creation/review of project artifacts related to ETL batch optimization and approve prior to production deployment.
Responsible for batch and report SLA attainment.
A key responsibility for the role will be to work with other EDW teams such as Business Analysts, Data Architects, Data Modelers, ETL Developers, Enterprise Architects, BI Developers, Project Managers, Platform Architects, Release Managers, Operations and Support, DBAs, to continually communicate and ensure the quality and performance of production launches.

4 Year IT College Degree/Masters preferred or equivalent work experience :

years in large scale data warehouse with data integration implementations :
Full lifecycle project and/or platform development using standard frameworks and repeatable best practices :
Experience working with data tools and technologies:
data modeling, ETL tools, metadata management tools, master data management tools, database technologies and design, business intelligence and enterprise reporting :
Collaborates with key stakeholders including infrastructure engineers, business analysts, development teams, project managers, to report performance metrics and escalate issues requiring attention.

Experience writing SQL and reviewing explain plans for tuning.

Experience gathering and reviewing CPU, memory and IO information on the platform.

Experience with establishing and analyzing metrics and recommending new tools and processes to ensure quality :
Proactively engages in the remediation of test and software issues related to code quality, security, and/or pattern/frameworks.

Experience automating operations metrics collection and reporting processes.
