Property Accountant:
National Community Housing Organization Looking for an opportunity to put your property and staff accounting experience to work for a growing company named one of Austins best places to work About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
Maintain general ledger and journals to include monitoring accounts for discrepancies Prepare necessary journal entries Update chart of accounts as needed Reconcile all bank accounts as part of the month end closing process Reconcile and balance accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly Generate and review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy of information Assist with accounting department responsibilities as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Demonstrate an understanding of how to prepare, read, and interpret financial statements Maintain multiple high priority projects at one time Knowledge of commercial real estate Requirements:
4 year Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Knowledge of accounting systems as well as proficiency in MC office applications Advanced MS Excel skills 3:
5 years experience in Staff or Property Accounting Ability to handle multiple properties (there are 190 in this portfolio) and volume entries Skills:
Typing speed of 45 words per minute Data entry experience Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong work ethic Strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) required Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required Ability to work within a team environment and able to adapt to changes quickly in a fast paced environment is necessary Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines required Customer service oriented mentality Source:
