About the role:
The IT Project Manager has the end to end responsibility for the success of the critical global IT projects that will evolve and transform GM's business processes and capabilities.
This empowered role includes management of the IT project lifecycle from definition to deployment, made possible through engagement with senior GM leaders, cross:
functional stakeholders, and development teams.
Major Duties/ Responsibilities :
Manages multiple medium:
size IT projects or a large:
scale IT Project from beginning to end.
:
Defines project scope, charter, goals and deliverables in support of business goals and works with senior leadership and stakeholders for approvals.
:
Ensures that projects are completed on time and meet all business and system requirements.
Conducts all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals.
:
Develops project plans, schedule and work breakdown structure for projects.
:
Communicates project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to stakeholders and leadership in a timely manner.
:
Collaborates with cross:
functional teams including architects, software engineers, developers, testers, technical leads, and deployment leads to ensure timely delivery of projects.
:
Adheres to change management processes during the project lifecycle.
:
Ensures compliance with project deliverables and project financial accounting.
:
Works with software estimation group to ensure project staffing and resource plan.
Qualifications Minimum
Qualifications:
:
Knowledge of project management disciplines (e.
g.
PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications, etc.
).
:
At least 4:
5 years IT project management experience, leveraging different software development methodologies.
:
Experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations.
:
Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality.
:
Experience with requirements and test case development.
Preferred
Qualifications:
:
A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience/training :
Experience working as a Project Manager with a successful project delivery record.
:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
