The Tax Manager (Senior Manager) is responsible for completing, supervising and reviewing multiple projects and client assignments.
The Manager is responsible for effective management of staff and engagements to meet the metrics, including client retention and staff goals.
The Manager should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of tax return and financial statement processes.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plan, execute, and deliver work independently with limited or no supervision on large complex engagements Prioritize and manage multiple engagements within given timeframes and budget parameters Develop and assist in the training of staff; create an environment that fosters learning Complete, supervise and review multiple projects and client assignments Supervise up to 5 or more staff on multiple concurrent engagements Perform a review of the work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates for coverage, completeness, accuracy, and technical proficiency Ensure that deliverables and work papers produced by team members are clear, concise, well written, and in conformity with firm standards and professional requirements Assist and actively participate in the development of departmental training, methodology and tools Maintain appropriate professionalism in client and team interactions Experience and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Masters degree in Accounting or related field preferred CPA with five to ten more years of experience in public accounting Experience working with small business, partnerships and corporate taxes preferred Excellent written and oral communications skills Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills Proven ability to manage and develop staff Demonstration of independent thinking and strong decision-making skills Additional Information:
