Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive knowledge and become domain expert in the ITO Solutions and in the Product / Service development and release process in the Communications Industry Effectively demonstrate / discuss the ITO solutions with qualified prospects while emphasizing benefits and value, not features and functions.
Active listening and the ability to directly deal with questions and objections is fundamental to this role Effectively scope and execute Proof of Concepts of the ITO solutions on customer premise.
Clearly define success criteria and tie results of a Proof of Concept (POC) to those criteria to clearly demonstrate the benefits of the solution.
Capture key metrics in the POC that will translate into a compelling Solution ROI Clearly document key process and technical requirements throughout the entire sales cycle to enable seamless transition to the Services Implementation team Contribute to the overall improvement of the Solutions team by contributing learnings, best practices, and customer success stories Function as a mentor to the other SE Team members Develop new solutions and techniques for position ITO products to match our customers needs Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Software Engineering.
A Master's degree in any of the noted disciplines or an MBA is preferred Minimum of 8 years of experience required.
Minimum of 12 years of experience preferred.
Understanding of product / service development processes in the Communications and High Tech Industry Ability to quickly develop a deep knowledge of customer's technical challenges that inhibit their ability to achieve stated product / service delivery objectives Ability to develop relationships at all levels in the Engineering organization Ability to articulate the benefits of the ITO Products and Solutions both verbally and via other means of communications Ability to offer unique perspective by reframing and challenging the way customers view their business Adept at driving two way communication by clearly articulating value proposition and talking to client's pain points Ability to develop customer advocates who sell and build consensus and the ability to influence key decision makers Experience selling high end software solutions and consulting services Keeping track of economic and industry activity and understanding its implications on customer business Expertise in C/C+, Java, Tcl/ Perl, Windows, Linux and in Networking devices manufactured by Spirent, Ixia, Cisco, Juniper, etc Spirent Communications - Inspiring Innovation - Enriching Life Spirent Communications is where the world's leading communications companies turn when they need to accelerate their time-to-market for next-generation communication systems.
