We are looking for a seasoned Data Engineering Manager with a passion for Next-Gen Cloud and other modern data platforms and technologies.
As a Manager for the Cloud Data Warehouse Platform (CDWP) ecosystem production support function, you will be responsible for partnering with cross functional application, platform, architecture, enterprise scheduling, and Business stakeholders to provide operational support for mission critical applications, while helping streamline, automate and mature production support processes.
You will be working with a team of talented production support technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world Through Clients' Eyes.
What you are good at Driving formulation of documentation, standards and production support processes for the Cloud Data Warehouse production platforms and applications aligned with enterprise policies Developing, maintaining, and supporting large-scale and complex ETL and distributed Big Data applications Proactively detecting, troubleshooting, and resolving all issues affecting production applications.
This involves coordination with and escalation to development and external teams where necessary.
This team owns all production support issues escalated to DaRT until they are resolved, or a workaround is provided to end users Providing clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outages Ensuring and enforcing the Change Management hygiene for all changes propagated to production from a support and Steady State transition standpoint Partnering with development teams at the appropriate stages in application development to ensure any new systems or projects meet the Production Readiness standards Partnering with Business stakeholders to educate and navigate them through the Schwab Technology Services (STS) standards and policies for new projects or enhancements to existing investments Effectively navigating and supporting Incident and Change Management processes with an end-to-end understanding of the system flows and technology landscape Constantly updating knowledge repository, and ensuring seamless availability and accessibility of information regarding in context of support related activities or issues Servicing all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems Improving self-reliance and reducing dependency on the availability of development or external team resources for the initial troubleshooting and resolution of problems Driving and supporting cross-functional large-scale production releases and rollouts Providing technical oversight for junior team members and interns on day-to-day activities What you have Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in development, support, and maintenance of ETL and database applications 3-4 years of hands-on experience with ETL products like Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Talend 3-4 years of hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys, Control M etc.

years of hands-on experience working with AWS or GCP technologies or equivalent (BigQuery, GCS, DataProc, DataFusion, Cloud IAM, DLP) 2
year hands-on experience working with both traditional (DB2, Teradata, Oracle etc.
) and Big Data (Hadoop, MapR, Hortonworks, Cloudera etc.
) or Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.

year hands-on experience working with SQL or no SQL databases including advanced SQL analysis skills Experienced with Python based ETL frameworks and UNIX/PERL/Python scripting Exposure to DevOps, Splunk and Monitoring Tools Functional knowledge of financial banking, stock brokerage or insurance domains is preferred Critical-thinking and strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze and understand data Ability to interpret key trends and metrics, and leverage them for actionable decisions Ability to forge strong relationships and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders during outages and actively communicate updates to application development and Business partners Attitude that fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork Familiar and comfortable with agile development techniques Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and with cross-functional technical and business teams Why work for us?
