The position requires familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards, acute care hospital policy and procedures. The individual in this position must be self-directed with positive interpersonal skills and be able to effectively interface with staff, management, and medical staff members. Treats colleagues, customers, patients and families with respect, loyalty and dignity. Monitors accreditation, regulatory standards, and related laws and communicates changes to the organization (i.e., HCA, TJC, CMS, TDH, etc.).Develops timelines and action plans to assure readiness and a system of checks and balances to assess compliance for any survey (accreditation or regulatory). Coordinates the efforts of the organization to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Develops and facilitates mock survey processes to assist with education of staff, medical staff, and leadership assessing and facilitating survey readiness.Participates in hospital surveys (scheduled and unannounced), oversights development of correction actions, measures of success, and monitors completion and compliance to plans of action.Develops communication methodology to provide a regular updates, feedback, and reporting to Senior Management, Medical Staff, Leadership in collaboration with the Director.Develops networking with other facilities for collaborative market approaches to standards, policy, procedure, forms, and orders as appropriate.Works directly with Director of Risk Management and department leadership facilitating investigations, focus analysis, and/or root cause analyses through the direction of the Director of Quality Outcomes Management. Oversights the development, review, and revision of policies and procedures, forms, and orders to help ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and compliance. Experience and Education Required: Current, unrestricted Texas Board of Nurse Examiners RN license Bachelor Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing preferredA minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care hospital environment Minimum of 2 years in quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, or organizational performance improvement preferred. Working knowledge of regulations such as The Joint Commission, Texas Department of Health, etc.; development and revision of policies and procedures preferred. Must be capable of professional interactions with a wide variety of persons including physicians, managers, as well as hospital administration and staff. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Effective oral and written communication skills with management and non-management team. This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved). The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
