Job Summary/Overview:
Guided by a belief in extensive data analysis and a commitment to collaborative global relationships, the Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high-quality utilities to our Fab.
At our water and wastewater plants on the Samsung Austin Semiconductor campus, our Operations teams' drive for sustainability and operational excellence is balanced by our need to adopt tomorrow's technologies to ensure plant resilience, environmental stewardship, and the safety of our staff.
As a supervisor for our 24/7 Operations team, you will lead a team of approximately 10-20 technicians, spread across day and night shifts, who are responsible for:
Promoting a safe work environment using a process safety mindset Fully owning, maintaining and operating UPW and IWT equipment within the guidance provided the Engineering team(s) Monitoring system performance, while also finding opportunities for safety, quality or cost improvements Preliminary troubleshooting, inspection, and field data collection of equipment and process issues Communicating and escalating issues to the Engineering team, and collaborating with our engineers for resolution.
Defining the plant's priorities for breakdown maintenance, repairs and replacements Training, executing, and ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures Maintaining and improving existing Standard Operating Procedures including the Certification documentation and process.
Specific Job Duties:
o Coach, mentor, and provide development opportunities for each member of the Operations team through a collaborative career mapping approach that also supports Samsung's organizational objectives o Lead conflict resolution within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration across the team, department and company o Support the team to prioritize daily tasks, approving and prioritizing external support requests o In collaboration with our Engineering team, define both the technological and people roadmap for our site Shift:
1st Shift Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:
Required Education and Experienceo 2-year degree preferred, or commensurate 4-year work experience minimum o 4
years of experience in an industrial facilities environment o Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Education and Experience o Demonstrated experience in leading and managing technicians within a facilities environment o Familiarity with Ultrapure Water and Industrial Wastewater technology (BIG PLUS) o 6
years of experience in a facilities environment o Strong technical background - with particular ability to understand, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial process systems Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
