Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
As a GCS (Gas & Chemical Systems) Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for safe operation of gas and chemical supply systems to the site.
You will oversee, mentor, and provide decision support a team of 6-8 shift supervisors focused on daily operations and supply reliability.
This includes monitoring system performance, shifting supply sources, setting conditions for maintenance and ensuring uninterrupted, in-spec supply to onsite semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
You will become a technical lead on assigned equipment.
You will serve as delegate approver and operations team representative when the Operations Manager is unavailable.
You will collaborate with maintenance, logistics and engineering teams to maintain and improve equipment performance.
You will be a champion of safety and world's-best performance in all work.
Specific Job Duties:
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Lead a team of shift supervisors who oversee field operation of gas and chemical systems and conduct routine preventative maintenance o Provide decision support for response to abnormal equipment conditions and serve as incident commander in absence of the Operations Manager.
o Manage Shift Supervisor coverage and balance shift technician staffing to meet business needs.
o Work closely with maintenance planners and equipment engineers to execute work orders and complete improvement projects.
o Conduct job walks to validate preparation and planning for maintenance activities o Monitor workflow to achieve KPIs, goals and objectives o Lead group safety and quality meetings; communicate company and departmental direction to subordinates o Lead and participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance o Ensure compliance with all applicable EH&S Standards including, but not limited to:
PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, Confined Space Entry and Respiratory Protection.
o Drive improvements in work processes, equipment and part management, employing lean principles effectively o Develop and improve equipment standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure SOPs are strictly followed.
o Provide technical, environmental, safety and quality training to operations personnel.
o Direct oversight and leadership of assigned supervisors to include PTO approvals, coaching, career development, annual evaluations and performance management.
Serve as delegate approver for technician time cards and ensure proper shift coverage while supervisor is out.
o Report quality and safety issues immediately via the department's escalation process.
Conduct initial investigation and root cause analysis.
o Serve as a member of the onsite emergency response team.
o Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and compliance requirements (including PSM/RMP) o Support management and development of annual expense budgets o Support the development of safety and quality projects to improve GCS system performance and reliability o Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction Physical Requirements:
o 25% of time walking throughout the facility (1-2 miles per day) o Bending of the knees and overhead reaching o Ability to wear a full face respirator mask per OSHA guidelines Shift:
Standard M-F 8-5 while in training; transitioning to a 12 hour CWW shift (10pm-10am) alternating between 3 and 4 day work weeks.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required o 2 Years of college/technical school or equivalent related experience o BS in related engineering field (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems etc.
) preferred o 15
years of industrial operations experience (power generation, chemical processing, industrial gasses, semiconductor facility support, etc.
) o 6
years of experience managing technician teams Military Veterans:
