Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Position
Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the Cooperative s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions. The FP&A Department is responsible for the Cooperative s budgeting, financial analysis, financial planning, and reporting activities.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Support the efforts during the Annual Budget for the Cooperative
  • Prepare financial modeling and analysis for new and current Cooperative initiatives
  • Support and guide Cooperative departments in preparing business cases for new and current spending initiatives
  • Prepare reports and analysis explaining financial results
  • Assist with preparation of monthly report for the Board of Directors
  • Assist with the completion of general cost studies including but not limited to cost of service, depreciation, and transmission cost of service
  • Support the reporting needs of the Cooperative
  • Support internal initiatives of the Finance department
  • Maintain the security of confidential information
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities:

  • None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, processing information, or Microsoft Applications such as Excel
  • Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, and budgeting
  • Basic knowledge in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Accounting preferred, and financial statements
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
  • Skilled in anticipating, identifying, analyzing, and resolving conflict and problems
  • Skilled in time management and managing changing priorities
  • Skilled in effective verbal and written communication
  • Highly self-motivated and driven for results
  • Great team player prepared to help and lead others to achieve department goals

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure):

  • Bachelor s degree in related field
  • Three years related work experience

Position
Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting with limited supervision the Cooperative s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions. The FP&A Department is responsible for the Cooperative s budgeting, financial analysis, financial planning, and reporting activities.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and management of the Annual Budget for the Cooperative
  • Prepare and/or review financial modeling and analysis for new and current Cooperative initiatives
  • Support and guide Cooperative departments in preparing business cases for new and current spending initiatives
  • Prepare and/or review reports and analysis explaining financial results
  • Prepare the monthly report for the Board of Directors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the completion of general cost studies including but not limited to cost of service, depreciation, and transmission cost of service
  • Calculate Capital Credits in compliance with GAAP and Cooperative policies
  • Support the reporting needs of the Cooperative
  • Support internal initiatives of the Finance department
  • Maintain the security of confidential information
  • Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
