The QA Engineer (Software Engineer in Test) will be responsible for testing and related duties operating on a small, dedicated delivery team operating within a agile development environment building a world-class financial services platform. The successful candidate will develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases, as well as generate and maintain automation scripts. The position will also document and track software bugs identified through testing and generally work with developers to resolve outstanding issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and document test plans, test cases, SQL scripts and automation scripts based on user requirements, condition data as required
- Document and execute regression, functional, and integration tests
- Document and track software failures using JIRA and/or similar tools
- Work with developers and QA team members to resolve outstanding bugs
- Participate in after-hours and off-peak outage windows to provide certification and testing support
- Support ongoing work to automate and document QA regression testing
Qualifications
Skills/Education/
Experience:
- 4
years experience as a QA engineer
- Strong up-to-date knowledge of QA processes as well as scripting, regular expressions, test automation creation, and backend DB testing
- Solid knowledge of Groovy basics- conditionals, data types, program flow
- Experience with continuous integration, Bamboo, Jenkins
- Experience with Behavior-driven development. Cucumber experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of Oracle 10g, test automation tools, and QA test methodology
- Ability to develop test plans and cases using business requirements. Experience using test case management tools like TestCollab, TestRail, or Zephyr preferred.
- Ability to verify and tune Oracle PL/SQL
- Java development, Linux basics, and X-Path/COM navigation skills are desirable
