General Purpose of Job

The Sr. Account Director, Intermediary Sales develops, directs, implements, & maintains a business plan to achieve sales & growth goals for group ancillary benefit sales within 2-2K lives. The Account Executive will build, enhance & direct the relationship with Advisors/Registered Representatives/Brokers/Plan Sponsors/Participants and also build, direct & maintain intermediary sales programs/plans which result in an increase in sales revenue & market share within the assigned territory.

Duties and Responsibilities

Actively participates in financial services &/or insurance industry organization meetings as a subject matter expertActively seeks opportunities for Lincoln sponsor &/or speak at eventsBuilds/directs a complex relationship platform, identifying sr./exec contacts in targeted Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers to achieve profitable sales/growthBuilds/maintains long-term relationships w/ complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers, ensuring satisfaction/increased revenuesCollaborates with internal stakeholders on proposals &/or promo materials for area(s) of responsibility.Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.Conducts Advisor, Registered Reps &/or Brokers meetings to achieve sales targetsCultivates, directs, & maintains sr./exec. client relationshipsDevelops business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.Develops, directs & executes complex plans to increase/gain opportunities to introduce Lincoln sr./exec. management to targeted Advisors, Registered Reps &/or BrokersDevelops/drives complex sales strategy to increase sales/market share in territoryDevelops/maintains collaborative relationships w/ internal stakeholders to achieve sales goalsDirects business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations.Directs the identification and implementation of process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.Ensures conflicts regarding Lincolns products/services are resolvedIncreases/gains awareness of Lincoln offerings w/ complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or BrokersMaintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.Maintains sales call data in appropriate systems &/or completes sales reportsMeets/exceeds department &/or sales goals/targets for his/her territoryProfiles territory's complex Advisors, Registered Reps &/or Brokers to target sr./exec relationships to build/identify firms/institutions interested in LFG offeringsProvides feedback/intelligence to internal partners on existing/targeted firms/institutionsServes as a subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders by developing and maintaining an advanced understanding of LFG's products, services and operational structure for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.Serves as a subject matter expert, leveraging an advanced understanding of LFG products, services & operational structure in territorySupports growth in all segments of Lincolns products/services to maximize/capitalize on opportunities to penetrate firms/institutionsSupports Relationship. Management retention & looks for opportunities to cross sell/cross partner with internal stakeholders
