Sr Data Analyst at Trustmark in Remote
The Enterprise Data team works closely with our IT leadership team, business stakeholders and vendors to oversee the delivery of enterprise data, analytics and digital capabilities and services to support key initiatives of the organization. This position will assist in defining and executing broader analytics requirements, data transformation specifications, data quality rules, governance and master data management strategy and related projects. In addition, this role will be responsible for partnering closely with the business to help research data quality issues by collecting, aggregating and analyzing various data assets. We're looking for someone highly technical with a background in a data management discipline. You should be extremely service oriented, and be able to navigate project obstacles in a timely fashion to enable successful execution. You'll need an understanding of data management capabilities, data governance, cloud data processing capabilities, data modeling best practices, and exposure to various business intelligence technologies to be successful in the role. This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and the individual can sit anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis Acquire, integrate and analyze enterprise data from core data assets to drive key insights related to data quality. Run queries to explore and analyze complex data structures to find answers to business problems. Recommend ways to improve overall quality of enterprise data assets. Develop and test various Master data management capabilities by working closely with business stakeholders, data stewards and IT teams. Collect data quality and enrichment requirements from business and translate them into executable modules leveraging SQL and data governance tools. Work closely with enterprise data stewards to identify system of record, verify information integrity, and define data quality rules while documenting metadata structures and business glossary. Develop and maintain formal documentation describing enterprise data flows, data processing and security frameworks, data models and consumption patterns. Business Stakeholder Management Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs to support analytics and reporting. Prepare data to support various predictive modeling and data visualization use cases Help business find hidden patterns using existing data Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics demand Leverage data to analyze core products and processes, identify areas of opportunity and support analytics use cases to drive growth and improve customer experience. Solution Delivery and Operations Management Foster and maintain productive working relationship with business and IT stakeholders Effectively participate in project execution, identify and escalate issues with IT stakeholders in a proactive manner Plan for and minimize unplanned business disruptions due to outage of enterprise integration technologies Ensure successful project and service delivery Track and report metrics for operational efficiency and plan for continuous improvements
Qualifications:
Strong intellectual curiosity Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5
years of industry experience High degree of business aptitude and the ability to articulate technology solutions to the business Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously while collaborating with various cross functional IT and business teams. Strong hands-on experience writing complex SQL queries to analyze information at scale. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications including data integration mappings and data quality rules. Knowledge of MDM concepts (enrichments, business rules, matching, merging, survivorship). Ability to present and convince business by providing various options to effectively solve business challenges with use of data and reporting. Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and tools like DataStage, Informatica or Talend preferred. Understanding of cloud native data processing capabilities (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory, SQL PaaS, etc.) preferred. Experience working in a complex business-facing environment with roles in data warehousing or business intelligence capabilities preferred. Experience working in an Agile/Iterative environment with Scrum knowledge preferred. Healthcare background nice to have.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
