Summary:
GM Global Manufacturing and Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) IT are looking for dynamic, experienced Information Technology (IT) Senior Program Managers to lead teams of Project Managers and Scrum Masters who thrive on creating a climate of inclusion, trust, and productivity . The IT Program Manager duties include generating concise communications, leading executive level status updates, and organizing various related projects to meet business goals. They are responsible for the end-to-end coordination and management of several moving pieces to support program/project deliverables that will evolve and transform GM's business processes and capabilities. They are a highly motivated coach for the Iterative/Agile teams and leaders, while serving as the subject-matter-expert on project execution and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that all business results are identified and accounted for in the project plan with responsibility and due dates Manage the identification, documentation, and traceability of business requirements Investigate and detail sophisticated business processes Lead strategic process and systems discussions with senior leadership Facilitate decision making among GM representatives to develop project scope of work documents and project plans based upon requirements. Facilitate amicable solutions with the appropriate customer(s) and project sponsor/owner. Identify the roles of project team members, project reporting requirements, organizational structures, frequency of interaction, and training requirements needed for team members Lead team to achieve on time and high-quality delivery of initiatives Provide mentorship to team on project plan development, issue resolution, and risk identification and mitigation including scope, resource, and schedule Resolve raised issues and roadblocks of a technical or organizational nature Coordinate the input and approval of various project design and decision documents Define program strategy balancing customer and other requirements Conduct management reviews for the key objectives and ensures the team is on track to deliver Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities. Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related risks and issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that arise during the implementation. Serve as the organization's inspirational and inspiring leader including as a subject-matter-expert on PMO planning and project execution. Drive efficiency and continuous improvement in core planning and PMO processes and tools. Provide guidance and support during execution of organizational change activities Continuously supervise and report on program/project status for senior leadership including tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership Additional Description Core
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an equivalent education, training, certification, and experience 10
years of confirmed experience in SDLC (software development life cycle) project management for an Automotive, Manufacturing or related industry Validated work experience working as a Project Manager / Program Manager with a successful project delivery record bring to bear different software development methodologies, specifically Iterative, Incremental, and Agile Experience leading diverse cross functional teams, communicating with directors, creatively mitigating issues, and able to span detail to summary level discussions Demonstrated in-depth understanding of business process fundamentals, including requirements elicitation, customer collaboration, effective and timely communications, and problem-solving skills Ability to work with business interface teams, business leads, development & QA teams, and interlock resource managers to estimate cost and negotiate requirements to minimize project impact and manage expectations Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated strength in critical skills such as collaboration and analytical capability Strong skills in problem solving and predictive analysis, specifically on software development and deployment projects, resource/staffing management Demonstrated and proven in-depth knowledge of project management fields (e.g. PMBOK, Schedule, Scope, Quality, HR, Communications, etc.) and measuring project success factors Expert in Program Management tools (such as Azure DevOps, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel) Preferred
Qualifications:

Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
