Description Hybrid:
This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week . Summary:
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) ensures applications meet GM IT standards for functional, system, quality, security, performance and architecture requirements. Ability to drive sophisticated levels of test planning, execution and quality reporting of software quality using test automation and Lean DevOps methodologies
Responsibilities:
Hands-on coding experience with Java, C# or other object-oriented programming languages Work on overarching framework and architecture for test automation efforts that spans multiple applications Drive industry standard methodologies in automated testing along with devops principals Evaluate current test procedures/process and drive optimization Use monitoring and reporting tools like AzDO and drive optimization Develop and contribute to long term technical solutions and strategies of the QA organization Identify quality weaknesses, suggest solutions and drive/initiate change Build and cultivate relationships with development and business facing teams Expertise in testing across various languages and architectures Interact and collaborate with many teams multi-functionally Support the delivery of code and features in the shortest period of time without sacrificing quality Mentor and develop technical talent from new college hires to senior QA engineers Additional Description Requirements:

years of experience as development or test lead required Solid understanding of test methodologies and process implementation experience Experience with driving a test automation strategy Sophisticated experience of test automation development, CI/CD tools, practices and methodologies Degree in Computer Science or a related technical Innovative and strategic problem solver with initiative to take action and build positive change Must demonstrate outstanding communication and leadership skills Preferred:
