Full-time Nanny for Newborn
Quick Apply Full-time 23 hours ago Full Job Description We are looking for a full-time nanny to care for our newborn baby after parents return to work (12 weeks old) for the first 18-24 months of her life.
We live in Westlake and this role will be performed in our home.
We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, kind, warm, caring, loving and experienced with newborn care.
Must be well-versed in developmental milestones for babies.
We view our nanny as a member of our family's team and will rely on her expertise and communication when it comes to ensuring we are all on the same page and providing consistency for the baby.
Newborn care (feeding, diapering, naptimes) (90% of role) o Clean up after the baby o Take care of baby's laundry:
wash, dry, fold and put away clean clothes in the dresser o Change crib sheets, keeping nursery tidy and clean o Bathing the baby as needed ? Baby's development o Reading books to the baby o Walks around the neighborhood with the baby as weather permits o Help to establish and maintain healthy sleep schedules and feeding schedules o Mental and physical stimulation, exercise and teaching as newborn grows to promote learning and development o Proactively provide any other developmental activities that nanny, in her experienced judgment, thinks are appropriate and helpful for the child ? Expected to communicate closely with parents House Management (10% of role):
Note this is secondary to the care of the infant, and if there is no time for these tasks because baby needs 100% attention, that is okay.
-Tidying around the house -Loading/Unloading dishwasher -Folding laundry for family -Cleaning kitchen -Meal prep help We also have a 3.
5 year old who goes to pre-school 8-5 most days, so role will primarily be 1:
1 with baby with a few additional household responsibilities thrown in as time permits (baby is always primary).
Candidates must speak English (parents are mono-lingual), but we are very interested in Spanish immersion for the baby, so speaking Spanish to her would be a bonus for us.
Candidates must have legal right to work in the US.
