Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description Summary The Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for performing day-to-day safety activities in support of a comprehensive safety and health program, ensuring the safety, health and environmental protection goals of the Company are met and to prevent accidents and eliminate or control exposures that could result in harm to our employees.
The Safety & Training Coordinator is responsible for managing risk, evaluating training, implementing corporate programs, conducting safety training, performing jobsite inspections, advocating, and fostering a safety culture, and assisting crews with safe work practices.
In addition, this position is expected to assist in safety audits and programs with the overall corporate safety strategy.
The Safety & Training Coordinator will also be expected to engage in safety incident investigations including injury/illness, motor vehicle and property damage.
Roles and Responsibilities Promoting our safety culture and leading programs to improve the Company's overall safety culture Improving, monitoring, and enforcing programs, policies, and procedures to prevent accidents, eliminate or control exposures and comply with policies and procedures and regulations of local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
Coordinate OSHA Safety Training Coordinate CPR/First Aid Training Complete OSHA Reports Perform safety audits of project sites Interface with insurance company regarding claims and injury management Review and comply with ongoing department project goals Ensure proper training is provided and maintained within assigned group.
Work with HR for on boarding safety training Maintain appropriate documentation for personnel issues within assigned group.
Always ensure strictest of confidentiality Preparing management reports of safety data, preparation of weekly safety talks, and other safety communications Conduct periodic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments; approve PPE for distribution through the tool crib; conduct necessary training in the use, care of and selection of PPE General Requirements Strong leadership skills Ability to travel to jobsites Bilingual (Spanish) Clean driving record Valid Driver license Authorized OSHA Construction Trainer Certification is desired Experience 1-3 years of safety and risk management experience or 3 years of Active Military Service Must be highly organized with excellent planning skills Ability to organize documents accurately and quickly Advanced written and oral communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft office products Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Must be professional and articulate Must demonstrate proven ability to work on a team

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
