This will be a full-time role, owning the following
Responsibilities:
Delivering projects and new Technology functionality for custom-built renewable energy software platforms.
Managing the product roadmap, timelines, resolving problems and coaching team members on Agile methodologies.
This position is critical to ensuring that our product roadmap aligns with and contributes to the success of Trailstone's global initiatives.
Working directly with business groups to break down and document current user processes, define future business processes, and gather user requirement to enable product development Working directly with developers to translate business requirements into user stories and technical requirements.
Leading small globally distributed agile teams Developing project plans, managing project scope, prioritizing requests and proactively resolving issues.
Communicating and collaborating with business users and Technology management, giving regular feedback and updates on projects.
Work with the business owners to manage the product backlog and guide prioritization Manage project scope, estimated effort, timelines, resources, and individual workloads across multiple, globally distributed engineering teams Prepare and present detailed, written technical information for internal and external stakeholders as well as executive leaders Providing support and guidance to the business teams post the go-live of new areas of functionality; including training, documentation and assistance with 3rd line support.
About You This person will have a strong business analysis background, experienced in leading multiple projects within a technology department.
Ideally this person will also have the curiosity to identify solutions beyond the obvious, and the autonomy to thrive in ambiguity.
In addition, we are looking for somebody with the following:
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in a STEM field or equivalent working experience.
Experience with agile delivery methodologies, SDLC Process and requirements gathering.
Experience delivering projects with tight deadlines.
Experience defining a solution delivery process, creating project work plans, assessing and mitigating project risks, tracking and communicating projects status, and prioritizing and resolving issues.
Ability to take ownership and accountability in all aspects of work.
Collaborative nature, and able to work independently with limited direction.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Time management skills are critical; having the ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations.
Comfortable in a start-up environment with less structure than many banks and large corporations.
Extensive experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Rally, Asana) Other Attributes:
Prefer knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) business processes including, trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing and risk reporting.
The ideal candidate would have experience with Python and/or SQL.
