We acquire leading regional companies that provide mission critical HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical services through preventative maintenance programs and follow-on services work.
We serve commercial and industrial customers, including distribution centers, cold storage facilities, food manufacturing facilities, universities, and other commercial properties.
FirstCall has approximately 150 employees and operations across Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama.
We are actively growing our network of regional companies across the Southeast, Florida, and Texas.
Responsibilities:
This position will oversee and manage the group benefit plans including the relationship with the benefits broker, process weekly multi-state payroll, maintain accuracy of the HRIS system, maintain and assist with HR compliance information and more.
Facilitate weekly multi-state hourly and salaried employee payroll processing, working cooperatively with managers and the finance department to ensure accuracy and legality of time reporting and related data integrity.
Monitor payroll trends through regular reporting and analysis.
Administer all employee benefit programs including health/life insurance programs, 401k savings plans and ancillary products.
Work effectively with insurance brokers and plan carriers Track and manage HRIS utilization and data accuracy providing regular reporting Ensure system integrity and mitigate user interface issues through systems coaching and training as needed.
Work closely with the Human Resource team in maintaining accurate and updated employee files and electronic records in the HRIS and related systems via virtual employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

Ensure company compliance with federal, state and local laws pertaining to benefits and payroll administration, including record keeping and reporting requirements.
Administer all staffing changes and HR processes, such as onboarding, offboarding, ensuring that all tasks are carried out and processes run smoothly Distribute materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.
Assist with training and support to employees.
Ensure that employer contributions and payroll deductions are processed accurately and in a timely manner, includes review of payroll reports and meeting deadlines.
Coordinate the annual enrollment processes.
Assist with managing plan setup and self-service in Paychex.
Assist with distributing OE communications.
Qualifications/KSA's:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or finance, or relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
3-5 years prior benefits administration experience - in-depth knowledge of the functioning and administration of group health plans (health and welfare plans) and ancillary product options, including managing vendor/broker relations - employer or broker side.
Knowledge of employee benefits, employment regulations, and applicable laws.
Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS, benefit databases, and applicant tracking systems.
Paychex Flex experience is strongly preferred.
Must be extremely detail oriented, have excellent follow-through, and take initiative.
Reliable with adherence to confidentiality.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and fully comfortable with high work pressure.
Effective planning and priority setting.
At least 1 year experience facilitating payroll processes in a multi-state environment, with a good general understanding of FLSA rules and regulations, preferably in the skilled trades industry or a mid to large hourly employee base in the service industry What we offer:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
