Job Description:
Mission:
Your mission will be to lead and manage the legal function in the US for the energy infrastructure business unit.
Functions:
Lead the legal function in new energy infrastructure projects (onshore generation, transmission and offshore wind) to grow in the US market mainly through M&A transactions, bidding processes, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), project finance, Joint Ventures with third parties, etc.
either directly or leading and interacting with local law firms.
Provide legal guidance, advice and support for existing energy projects and related operations; as well as drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements to facilitate the growth of the business unit and the successful implementation of energy projects.
Carry out a deep legal analysis of investments, acquisitions or bid proposals so that they are presented in accordance to internal regulations, and make recommendations for a sustained decision making, resolving doubts and detecting and dealing with risks, with the aim of ensuring that the interests of the shareholder are optimally defended.
Close interaction and communication with the Legal department at its headquarters in Spain; as well as with other departments such as finance, business development and technical teams; not only regarding matters strictly related to energy projects but also in other aspects such as corporate topics, financing, compliance, insurance, etc.
Requirements:
Law Degree (J.
D.
) required Valuable Post-Degree in Law, Finance or Energy fields.
Bar license in US 10
years of substantive experience, out of which, at least 4 years of experience should be within the energy sector in the above described responsibilities.
Familiar with applicable energy regulations Native or very high level of legal English is required.
Valuable to have some level of Spanish.
Availability to travel.

Analytical capacity to base decision making and detail oriented.
Excellent communication skills for a smooth communication with in-house teams, clients and stakeholders.
High level of autonomy and proactivity in the continuous search for improvements and proposal of solutions.
Ability to make decisions with great agility and in a context of limited information Ability to work in teams and react under pressure.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
