Summary:
We are looking for a passionate restaurant and beverage leader to join the Food & Beverage team.
The Restaurant & Beverage Directors' primary purpose is to oversee the daily food and beverage operations in support of the Director of Food & Beverage.
Ensure all food and beverage operations and Member services are coordinated to exceed Member expectations while driving initiatives to achieve the Club's revenue and profit objectives.
The Director is responsible for beverage control, accurate pours of product, general cleanliness of the bar, and locking and securing of the bar and clubhouse when scheduled This position will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to ensure the standards of service and safety guidelines are met.
Day to Day:
Manage the inventory and rotate all wine, beer, liquor, and other beverages, and order products with a focus on seasonality, Member interest, and adaptability to changes in the Club's Beverage Standards.
Assist in selecting, training, coaching, and developing a qualified staff of Service Excellence Employees to understand the relationships between value, Member experience/service, satisfaction, and retention.
Implement and effectively execute specific training programs timely and consistently to ensure Club staff is providing and delivering Members with exceptional service and creating memorable moments for Members.
Supervise the work of Employees in the Dining Room(s) and bars, perform activities such as scheduling work, executing service meetings/line-ups, partaking in Employee performance reviews with the F&B Director, and executing other managerial roles.
Oversee beverages for all Private Events.
Attend BEO meetings, determine product needs for upcoming events, and order accurately.
Collaborate with the Events team on creative ways to structure upselling opportunities and beverage/wine menu development.
Ensure all expense control systems are in place with close monitoring of all department expenses including revenue to payroll ratio.
Ensure appropriate forecasting systems are utilized.
Create imaginative cocktail, beer, and wine menus with a focus on seasonal and interesting ingredients.
Train staff on proper techniques and recipes to ensure consistent Member experience.
Collaborate closely with the Chef and F&B Director in menu development as it relates to wine-friendly foods, beverage pairings, tasting dinners, and other in-house and special events.
Oversee all Club Beverage programs including the wine lists, wines by the glass offerings, drink table tents, etc.
coordinate and facilitate growth and determine relevant themes for beverage-related activities, events, and other programming at the Club.
Manage cellar and storage conditions for optimal aging and preservation of wine and all other beverages.
Strong financial acumen is expected in all beverage areas including wine cost, beer cost, liquor cost, and labor costs.
Monitor all safety and sanitation practices of beverage storage, presentation, and service to ensure that applicable Club standards and policies are met.
Ensures that daily walkthroughs are being conducted in all Front of House areas.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food sanitation and safety regulations.
Be knowledgeable about the most updated laws and guidelines and communicate this information to the staff.
About you:
The Club Beverage Program is an important asset of the Club.
Continued education in the wine/beer/spirits industry through certifications and specialized training is imperative, as is the ability to upkeep and manage a successful, financially sound beverage program that creates excitement for our Members.

years in a fast-paced restaurant, Club management, or related field in the Food Beverage Industry.
At least 3 years of Professional Experience developing and executing a successful wine and cocktail program is preferred.
A college degree or 3 years in the wine industry is required.
Culinary and/or hospitality management emphasis is preferred.
Achieved minimum of (Level II) Sommelier Certificate (CMS2) and maintain Sommelier Certification through continued education over specific intervals throughout your career.
High-end hospitality experience, impeccable attention to detail, and proven track record in Front of House service supervision.
Strong computer literacy skills required:
Microsoft Office Suite, POS (Micros).
Excel in a high-energy, team-based environmentwith effective leadership, positive communication, and training skills.
Service STAR Training, Alcohol Management, Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, STAR Service Certification, STAR Trainer Certification, TABC Certification, and CPR Certification preferred.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,000 salary range commensurate with experience - Bonus Potential, Benefits, Club Perks, and much more!About us:
