Summary:
ABM is seeking a full-time Labor Event coordinator.
This position will perform various duties relative to the set-up and breakdown of events and janitorial work in the facility.
They are responsible working under the direct supervision of the Labor Event Manager and work alongside the Client Event Team, answering work order requests, inspecting equipment for damage after use, and checking equipment against an inventory list, among other duties.

Responsibilities:
Supporting and maintaining training rooms, conference rooms, and additional spaces (lobbies, common spaces, lounges, etc.
).
Support includes:
1.
Helping set up the spaces to customer requirements (setup chairs, tables, power strips, equipment, reset room to specifications, removing excess chairs and resetting tables).
2.
Supporting the cleaning of the rooms to ready space before and after use (vacuuming, emptying trash, straightening).
3.
Assisting customers during longer events to change trash and tidy up when able.
4.
Assisting catering in setting up and tearing down catering tables both inside and outside of the training rooms.
5.
Other items as needed.
Communicating and responding to all event related emails and work order tickets.
Straightening storage spaces.
Inspecting equipment for damage after use and checking it against an inventory list.
Ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
Adhering to event safety standards.
Assist in ordering, moving, and storing of items for event use.
Ensuring the event space is clean and organized.
Ensuring that seating arrangements adhere to fire code regulations.
Attending weekly team meetings.
Perform custodial duties such as:
o Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas.
o Collect building trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal.
o Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specs.
Requirements:
Flexible 8-hour shift Monday-Friday to accommodate events schedule (able to start as early as 6am and to end shift as late as 7pm).
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
Experience with Work Order Systems is a plus.
Diligence and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team.
Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
Use a portable vacuum cleaner - backpack style.
