Summary:
With little direct supervision, provides very complex specialized services and support to department, office, or program.
Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks Assist and collaborate with the HR Benefits Team to review and determine benefit group eligibility for variable-hour employees.
Assist with maintaining accurate employee records across multiple databases, process benefit-related paperwork, and assist employees with administrative inquiries or issues.
Aid with the planning and execution of HR Benefit's related special events such as annual open enrollment, wellness initiatives, and other events as applicable.
Assist in the review and determination of retirement plan eligibility utilizing available internal and external resources (RPI, TRS Portal, Retirement Manager).
Support the administration of leaves, including FMLA, STD/LTD, and other leave types.
Responsible for responding to benefit and employment verification requests as required, such as PSLF, Medical Support Orders, Insurance Verifications, and other benefits-related documents.
Support the HR Benefits Team in validating benefit plan enrollment and deduction amounts.
Assist the Absence and Benefits Administrator with tracking leaves of absence and time balances and timely notifying employees of relevant information.
Assist with the distribution of required employee notices.
May review and process documents, maintain databases, and provide reports.
Knowledge Processes, practices, and procedures related to the departmental work being done.
Skills Maintaining an established work schedule.
Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy.
Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
