We also need to evaluate new and adjacent markets globally in the context of what we deliver today and where we are going longer term.
Critical is a need to understand the underlying market structure, growth opportunities, and competitive environments for new markets.
The Sr.
Manager, Market Insights is a key member of Omnicell's Market Strategy Leadership team.
This role will be responsible for providing strong, effective and highly visible leadership to the Market Insights team in order to capitalize on the team's full potential.
The role will also be responsible for enhancing and driving visibility of the department within the organization.
This role will work across many functions and organizational levels and have significant visibility within Omnicell.
The Sr.
Manager, Market Insights must be capable of cross-organizational collaboration with regular communication on progress and must be able to handle multiple, competing priorities.
Critical to success will be partnering across the organization, including product management, sales, marketing and investor relations, in order to support their market insight needs, proactively share market & competitive intelligence, and ensure teams are fully leveraging these critical insights.
Responsibilities Department Management Develops and recommends an annual plan for the Market Insights department Develops and manages the annual department budget based on carefully planned needs Oversees Market Insights team activities to ensure high quality, actionable insights are being generated and shared with the organization Ensures that Market Insights team members develop subject matter expertise related to Omnicell's businesses, competitors, and the medication management and pharmacy industry Intelligence Gathering and Analysis Scope, manage, and execute projects to generate insights on the industry, customer perspective, new market opportunities, existing and emerging competitors, as well as market and product technology trends Responsible for the roll-out and ongoing management of rigorous win-loss program to aid in the evaluation of sales & marketing efforts, to better understand product-market fit, and to compare Omnicell product offerings to the competition Develop and maintain in-depth competitive landscape profile for current and emerging product and market segments globally Identifies and aggregates existing internal and external data.
Identifies gaps in knowledge.
Develops and executes plan to fill the gaps through market research initiatives, technology solutions, etc.
Product Management Support Supports product management efforts by supplying voice of the customer and industry trend insights based on research and solid market analytics of both domestic and international markets Supports new product introduction process by guiding design of data gathering efforts, in collaboration with other teams (e.
g.
, strategic pricing, UX, etc.
) Strategic Decision Support Actively supports the translation of competitive intelligence and market research into impactful sales / strategic results through deep interaction w/ the teams requesting data Regularly presents to Senior Management on Market Insights findings and makes strategic recommendations based on the aggregation and analysis of relevant, high-quality data Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated skills and capabilities in analytical and critical thinking, communication, and creative problem-solving Maturity to handle ambiguity and adaptive to dynamic environment Strong self-starter, capable of leading and driving projects without supervision toward achieving results Demonstrated ability to establish productive working relationships with dynamic and varied personalities Ability to manage and develop people Ability to synthesize relevant information needed for high-level decision making, and succinctly communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization Exceptional MS Office skills (i.
e.
