DutiesServes as the Senior Environmental Restoration Attorney for RCRA Corrective Actions and Hazardous Materials Management. Responsible for the highly specialized, professional support of the Air Force's legally and technically complex, multi-billion-dollar, high mission impact cleanup program involving Federal, State, and local environmental statutes, regulations, and policies.Maintains Highest Level of Subject Matter Expertise on Hazardous Materials Management and RCRA Corrective Actions. Recognized as subject matter expert in hazardous materials management (including Air Force handling of non-weapons grade radioactive materials), environmental restoration through RCRA corrective actions, and related real property law. Provides assistance to Air Force and Department of Justice litigators on RCRA Corrective Action and Hazardous Materials Management matters in dispute in administrative, regulatory, or federal court proceedings. Furnishes primary environmental expert legal advice based on the interpretation or application of federal, state, or local law and regulations to Air Force and Department of Justice litigators at various locations throughout the world.Provides assistance to the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment and the Air Force Real Property Agency on matters involving hazardous materials management and RCRA corrective action as these affect Housing Privatization, Utilities Privatization, and Enhanced Use Lease projects. Furnishes primary environmental expert environmental restoration and hazardous materials management legal advice based on the interpretation or application of federal, state, or local law and regulations to Air Force activities at various locations throughout the world. Experience: In addition to the basic requirement: you must have professional legal experience in excess of three (3) years that commensurate with the position's duties and responsibilities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Must have a law degree (JD) from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a state or the District of Columbia or other Federal Bar, as appropriate. A Master of Laws (LL.M.) in environmental law is highly desirable.
2. Must have the skill and ability to conduct complex legal research and a familiarity with the research resources most commonly involved in environmental, occupational safety and health, natural and cultural resources, and real property laws. This includes various statutes, Department of Defense and Air Force policy and guidance, the United States Code, court opinions, the Code of Federal Regulations, etc. Familiarity with electronic research resources such as Westlaw, Lexis, etc. is required.
3. Must have in-depth experience as a practicing environmental law attorney and possess at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. Must be thoroughly competent in federal civil procedure, environmental, natural and cultural, and real property law and knowledgeable in administrative and general law. Three years credit will be provided for an LL.M. in a related field. Must be highly skilled in written and oral advocacy in order to prepare and present written and oral briefings before decision-makers.
4. Must possess superior negotiation skills and be capable of high order, rational and logical thinking in order to formulate, coordinate, and present the Air Force legal position before regulators, elected officials, the public, and senior officials for the Air Force and other relevant agencies.
5. Previous experience using computer word processing software such as Word for Windows, Excel, and Power Point is highly desirable but not required.
6. Experience working within a large and complex legal organization is highly desirable but not required. Similarly, experience working at high levels with the Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force is desired but not required.

Education
Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, and be currently licensed as an attorney, in active (or equivalent) status and in good standing, with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. The attorney must maintain such bar membership in at least one jurisdiction during the entire course of employment with the Air Force.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
