Spanish fluent Crisis Detection Agent (Hybrid/Austin)

Seeking discerning individuals plugged into internet technologies and developing news stories. You will be working on the leading edge of fast-developing incidents including most man-made and natural disasters.


This is a vendor role with Vaco, for our client, a Fortune 100 company.


Candidates can expect a fast-paced, energetic environment working on a team that delivers high-impact awareness of world events. Successful candidates will be able to review a variety of online sources and internal information to accurately escalate issues of concern to our client. Strong communication skills and ease of working with multiple tools with fast-evolving technology are essential for this position.


Responsibilities:


Understand and perform to expectation all new tasks, workflows and processes, including updates to existing work, as they are rolled out by the Shift & Team Leads


Support the Austin Detection team workflows in regards to crisis detection
Readily suggest process improvement to current workflows to drive efficiencies, improve the quality of team's work and expand responsibilities


Participate in, and, as necessary, lead communication between stakeholders and supporting teams


Research valuable help and information to those who could be affected by a natural or man-made disaster


Minimum Qualifications


BA/BS degree. The ideal candidate will have majored in political science, journalism, digital media, international studies, or a related field, or have a technical degree.


Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams with senior stakeholder and executive visibility.
Calm under pressure, with an ability to function well in urgent, developing situations.
Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once.


Preferred
Qualifications:


Familiarity with client's products, its brand, infrastructure, and types of online abuse Strong technical competency, with ability to locate authoritative help and information resources


Strong interest in news media and current events


High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity.


Customer service/client experience preferred.


Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
