Position:
Sr Manager, Software EngineeringCDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and Original Equipment Manufacturers ( OEMs ) across automotive and related industries.
The Company s cloud-based, software as a service ( SaaS ) platform enables dealerships to manage their end-to-end business operations including the acquisition, repair, and maintenance of vehicles.
By automating and streamlining critical workflows, the integrated platform of modern solutions enables dealers to service more vehicles by creating simple and convenient experiences for customers and improves their financial and operational performance.
The Sr Manager, Software Engineering is responsible for, however not limited to, the following:
Manages and coordinates the activities of direct reportsReceives guidance from managerSets priorities for the team to ensure task completionCoordinates work activities with other managers/leadersManages the coordination of activities within own team, often including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and work processReviews work of team members upon completion for quality, provides coaching and mentoring to team membersIdentifies technical and operational challenges by analyzing multiple factors and/or leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the functional areaDecision making and problem solving are largely guided by policies, procedures and departmental plansProvides guidance to direct reportsDrives engineering excellence and foster innovationRecommends changes to process and policies that affect immediate teamInfluence decisions through persuasion to drive consensusExecute ongoing goal setting, performance and development reviews according to the THRIVE processDefine and execute detailed technical training plans according to the workforce planning strategy and learning objectivesInforms senior management of progress, risks related to key goals and objectivesCollaborate across multiple areas and/or with other departments to achieve project objectivesQualification/Requirements:
Bachelor s degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldExperience utilizing Agile and Scrum software development methodologies2 - 4 years of management experienceSelf-motivated, result oriented, problem solving attitudeHigh:
collaboration, drive for results, people focus, customer focusDemonstrable understanding of software engineering processes, including awareness of delivery requirements such as time and cost & an ability to recognize and manage performance with a focus on continuous improvementCompensation:
$170,000 - $200,000CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
