What you'll do:
As a seasoned professional in the retirement and benefits industry you'll utilize your knowledge of investments, executive compensation, sales, consulting and relationship management to be to lead internal client support teams in the collaborative development, resourcing and successful execution of Client Relationship Plans reflecting clients' corporate, benefit and compensation programs priorities, goals and initiatives. Coordinating firm resources and thought leadership to successfully deliver Charles Schwab solutions for the benefit of the plan sponsor and participants. The CRM is responsible for leading and mentoring client facing team members in thought leadership, methodology, tools and delivery of effective strategic client management resulting in loyalty and retention.
Ensuring ongoing client satisfaction, profitability and referability
Effectively communicating Schwab's value proposition to senior client contacts
Knowing and understanding the client's industry, business model, strengths, challenges and corporate strategic objectives to identify the client's needs through a strategic needs assessment and related opportunities to leverage the Charles Schwab enterprise-wide services and products offerings
Anticipating and assessing clients' needs, developing and delivering a fluid strategic client business plan across Schwab's service offerings
Expanding the client relationships to a broad level of decision makers and senior leaders ( finance executives, fiduciary committee members, senior human resources, benefits and compensation executives)
Demonstrating the ability to effectively navigate, position and sell Charles Schwab investment products and platforms, managed account services, in-plan and expanded advice and integrated retirement and benefit programs (defined benefit, defined contribution, equity and nonqualified compensation plan design and administration)
Managing highly complex client relationships utilizing integrated benefits services with multiple retirement and executive compensation plan administration programs, and related investment products and platforms, managed accounts, in-plan advice, expanded advice and executive services
Coordinating client sales strategies facilitate the delivery of product and service presentations and closing sales for Integrated Benefits solutions, including investment products and platforms associated with defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans, non-qualified and equity compensation plans. Sales performance will be measured by new business to existing clients and facilitating the closing of new business opportunities with prospective clients and consultants
Providing firm and industry thought leadership, identifying and communicating relevant trends associated with plans and investments to key client contacts, consultants and prospective client senior leadership
Establishing and maintaining a strong, sustainable, relationship building process and broad network of key Charles Schwab internal contacts, external consultants and key senior client contacts
Demonstrating strong business acumen in managing successful client sales, profitably, satisfaction, delivery of relevant market topical content related to the integrated benefits industry and maintaining deep and broad knowledge of Charles Schwab's business, performance, investments, services and products, policies and procedures
Maintaining a thorough understanding and accountability for improving and expanding client relationships by identifying, positioning, selling and implementing change recommendations for plan design, administrative and technical efficiencies to achieve sustainable process improvements and increased client and participant experience satisfaction
Communicating, selling and implementing new plan offerings, products and services, new pricing strategies while consistently reviewing and managing relationship and plan level profitability
What you have:
12 years of financial services experience (minimum) in retirement and benefits plan sales, consultation and/or relationship management
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; post graduate and/or professional certification (ASPPA, CEBS, CEP and/or NIPA) preferred
High energy individual who demonstrates confidence, accountability, and professionalism with each interaction while also demonstrating personal integrity, resilience, and respect for others
Strong team leadership skills and experience with an excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
Superior written and presentation skills as well as excellent negotiating, networking and interpersonal skills
Ability to balance competing priorities in the best interest of clients and Charles Schwab
Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments that have a long and short duration over a given time with attention to details
Ability to identify and adapt to clients' diverse backgrounds and roles (executives, human resources and finance) and maintain investment-related expertise in order to effectively sell and deliver product, service and platform solutions
Consistently explore and discover client needs by engaging in face-to-face meetings asking well-defined, open-ended questions to clearly uncover new business opportunities and relationship challenges. Identify and engage the appropriate subject matter experts within Charles Schwab to assist with appropriate client discussions in order to accomplish client understanding of solution sets to achieve successful outcomes
High degree of integrated benefit services experience with comprehensive knowledge of equity compensation plan (stock options, restricted stock, SARs, ESPP), administration and plan design and administration for qualified retirement and non-qualified executive deferred compensation plans
Thorough understanding of retirement and benefit plan industry trends, ongoing regulatory and legislative processes impacting the client base and ERISA related regulations
Thorough knowledge of investment products and platforms including passive and active Mutual Funds, ETFs, CTFs, Money Market Funds, Charles Schwab Bank investment products, in-plan advice and guidance, and managed account services
Ability to deliver client education and training by developing appropriate awareness of investment offerings, fiduciary responsibilities and procedures when presenting opportunities for clients to contract investment products, services and platforms
Requires up to 50% business travel
Active FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses or the ability to successfully complete all tests to obtain the required licenses within 90 days from date of hire

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
