Product Marketing Manager - IdentityIQ

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the strategy and outbound activities for SailPoint's industry-leading product line, IdentityIQ. This role will define and execute the overall product marketing strategy and supporting tactics, including messaging, positioning and go-to-market activities. Candidates for this role must be able to create compelling messaging and story-telling that uniquely positions IdentityIQ in the market in support of content generation activities, competitive analysis, and the creation and delivery of sales enablement assets.
The position requires strong marketing and communications skills, as well as a technical understanding of enterprise software, enterprise IT environments, and rapidly evolving security and compliance landscape. The Product Marketing Manager must be comfortable working closely with a cross-functional team including sales, sales engineering, product management, services, and marketing, as well as with prospects, customers, partners, and analysts. The position is based in Austin, TX and reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Understand buying cycles and define buyer personas;
Craft compelling messaging that helps buyers understand our benefits and unique advantages and deliver it through creative presentations, demonstrations, collateral, blogs, white papers, and positioning documents;
Develop sales enablement assets focused on helping internal, field sales teams, and channel partners understand target markets and buyers, buyer personas, pains points, and key messages;
Drive cross-functional product launches, coordinating the efforts of engineering, sales, marketing, PR, and operations;
Gather and analyze competitive data in order to create assets as part of a comprehensive competitive intelligence program;
Identify and execute strategic programs to drive further market penetration;
Act as an evangelist for the IdentityIQ product line to market influencers, industry analysts, prospects, and customers at tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
Requirements:

years of experience on high-performing product marketing teams.
Experienced at successfully multi-tasking a variety of priorities.
Demonstrated success in driving go-to-market strategy for market-leading products.
Experience managing product launches, including managing cross-functional teams.
Self-starter who is experienced in successfully taking a project from concept to execution.
Strong project/program management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
Security software or internal IT audit experience a plus.
Education:
MBA or equivalent preferred; BA/BS required
Travel:
This position requires approximately 20% travel
