Summary:
The Program Assistant supports the coordination, planning and implementation of programs and data management as part of the Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) a comprehensive academic program funded by the Texas Education Agency. The Program Administrator supports the Project Director with program and administrative issues, including, but not limited to curricula, program operations and logistics, documentation, data entry and office management. This position is required to work evening hours and Saturdays.
Essential Functions:
Program Management
Assist in the planning, resourcing, implementation and management of all aspects of 21st Century Community Learning Center for school students and families
Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for participants and stakeholders using a variety of methods
Assist the Project Director in supporting staff and the integration of programs in afterschool.
Ensure services provided have the desired impact on participants by reviewing data regularly towards required outcomes
Collaborate with East Austin College Prep and East Austin Children's Promise administrators and staff to implement programming and obtain resources for students and parents.
Provide assistance and support to East Austin Children's Promise team members in the implementation of programming as needed
Participate as a member of East Austin Children's Promise team in planning and coordination of activities in support of the initiative as needed
Administrative
Coordinate data collection and administrative systems including data entry, accuracy, tracking and reporting as required
Document program logistics, including but not limited to policy, equipment, contracts, program participation and safety
Report weekly on progress, challenges and any potential modifications being considered
Instructional Leadership
Implement curricula and programs and make appropriate changes/modifications to support student academic success
Support and monitor progress of students and overall student culture to accommodate learning differences while maintaining high expectations for all
Research and apply best practices to the design and continuous improvement of all project related activities
Other Functions:
Attend and participate in all required meetings and school related activities both at the school site and at the administrative offices
Serve on school, district and/or community advisory boards and/or committees related to program content as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to establish priorities and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office with web-based resources and internet research a plus.
Polished and articulate with strong interpersonal skills.
