The Internal Communications Advisor will be responsible for helping to execute the strategies and plans to effectively communicate Hanger's business objectives, culture, values and key initiatives to its employees. This role will encompass a mix of writing, editing and communication planning with many opportunities to help execute Hanger's approach for employee communications and change management. Reporting to the Internal Communications Leader, the Internal Communications Advisor must be a qualified professional with strong writing, editing, content creation, presentation and relationship-building skills. This role will partner with internal teams to plan, write and deliver internal communications across the enterprise. Critical to the role is the ability to communicate in a voice consistent with Hanger's values and culture.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with internal teams across the enterprise to implement internal communication plans that support ongoing programs and change management initiatives
Serve as a key member of the intranet development team by providing input, feedback and testing for Hanger's new intranet layout, content, mobile and collaborative functions
Assist in implementing communication plan, pilot programs and governance model for new intranet and serve as community manager for various collaborative digital spaces as designed within the project
Execute extensive writing and presentation projects as directed and provide guidance and content creation for various program and initiative communications across the enterprise
Provide dedicated internal communications support for project-specific communications plans, intranet management and articles, newsletters, FAQs, presentation decks and other communications
Research new, fresh communication vehicles that effectively reach employees nationwide in various settings, from offices and clinics to warehouses and employees on the road
Create and manage editorial calendar for the enterprise
Assist in creating and implementing communication best practices, protocols and templates
Assist with activities associated with the Hanger Charitable Foundation
Assist with external communications needs, including digital media efforts, as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Years of Experience Required: 5-8
years relevant work experience within a large corporate communications environment, or similar; experience with a publicly-traded healthcare company a plus
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in communications or related field, or equivalent work experience in a corporate environment
Other Skills Desired:
Excellent writing, proofing and editorial skills. Fluent in AP Style
Experience with video content creation/editing and graphic design a plus
Keen familiarity and experience with internal communications, organizational communications, employee engagement campaigns
Demonstrated experience with social intranet platforms and community management, and with using internal social media tools to engage employees; experience with external social media platforms a plus
Demonstrated ability to incorporate online tools and in-person networking to create relationships and ultimately build upon the employee and cultural experience, both online and off.
Experience with change management; demonstrated ability to execute communication plans that support effective large scale change initiatives
Ability to prioritize while exhibiting flexibility in a fast-paced, often pressured, environment
Ability to build effective relationships as a trusted communications advisor and to partner with employees at all levels
Capable of understanding perspectives of multiple audiences and able to develop content focused on the specific needs of various employee types and roles

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
