You will be part of an elite team of software engineers building new components on our flagship Orion platform. This platform underlies the products in the Network Management and Systems Management space that drive the majority of the company's revenue.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include analyzing requirements, designing solutions, implementing the code and tests for new components related to platform features such as device monitoring and management, security, data persistence, analysis, inference, and analytics. You will conduct code, design and documentation reviews and mentor developers on your and other teams on a routine basis.
As an engineer at SolarWinds you can influence the product on all levels starting from usability, high-level technical architecture to implementation details.
Qualifications
You will have experience designing and implementing features for a large commercial software application. Strong problem solving skills. Strong command of one or more of the following languages C#, .NET, Java, C, Python, Ruby
Experience with unit testing and good understanding what unit tests are good for.
Solid understanding of the development processes and practices
Preferences:
Advanced skill in C# and the .NET Platform
Agile SW development methods and experience with tools like Jira/Rally
Test driven development and continuous integration experience
SQL database design, Windows Server application design
