Overview:
Hanger Inc. is looking for Staff Accountant to join our Disbursements team. This person will perform reconciliation of key accounts and various financial analyses in the Disbursements Area as well as assist with disbursement processing. The Disbursements team is responsible for Payroll Journal Entries, Accounts Payable, Accruals, Intercompany, Fixed Assets.
Responsibilities
Monthly, accurate and timely, reconciliation of certain key balance sheet accounts
Preparation of monthly journal entries and other aspects of the monthly, quarterly and yearly close process
Assistance with external and internal audit requirements
Management of exception queues by resolving issues in a timely manner
Following SOX controls guidelines
Working with various Hanger Clinic team members as well as other Finance/Accounting team members
Qualifications
Four year degree in accounting or equivalent experience
A minimum of three to five years experience in accounting
Advanced to Expert-level Excel or comparable spreadsheet experience to include ability to perform v-look ups, create macros and pivot tables.
Attention to details and excellent organizational skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints
Excellent verbal and written skills
