Technical Writer
Zillion Technologies, Inc is looking for a Technical Policy/Standard writer/reviewer for a client in TX.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Defines and implements information security strategies and procedures Works with engineering teams to define and refine information security and systems management policies and settings Monitors and assesses vendor and 3rd party information security reports/lists Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning introduction of new technologies Reviews, prioritizes and recommends information security improvements.
Technical Policy/Standard writer/reviewer:
Work with Subject Matter Experts to gather information, design, and write Policy & Standard documentation Research, analyze, and document internal processes, software applications, industry/regulatory framework and technical tools to deliver documentation that is accurate and complete Use advanced technical writing knowledge to write and maintain new/revised procedures.
Assess internal processes and make recommendations to streamline procedures to reduce risk Ensure documentation is in compliance with corporate standards, established guidelines, and easily understood by the end-user Familiarity with NIST 800-53, NIST Cyber, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, EU GDPR, PCI and Cyber Essentials framework Reviewing P&S Portfolio and current identified gaps from Industry/Regulatory Frameworks listed above.
Helping to create new documents that are needed in the Portfolio.
Partnering wth P&S Lead to work with Domain SMEs on annual review of their documents.
Expert use of Microsoft Office (Work, PPT, Excel and Outlook) 3
years of technical documentation and publication experience Good attention to detail and accuracy skills Good attention to detail and accuracy skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge and understanding of writing, editing, coordinating, and publishing sensitive documentation Most workers are virtual.
So,we work in skype meetings and outlook primarily.
Only some workers in Austin, TX.
This resource is a missing piece to the current team and tied to a larger Security effort.
It's short term but would have a significant impact on the Security Governance and IT P&S Portfolio.
